One fateful night in 2018, Jordan attended his college's Pilipino Cultural Night. That was where he first laid eyes on JoAnn, who was hosting the event as part of their college's Filipino club. Despite a whole evening of performances, it was JoAnn’s corny jokes and super cool dance moves that stuck with him on the car ride home.

They would officially meet months later when Jordan just so happened to join the Filipino Club, which was totally not for the sole purpose of trying to get closer to JoAnn. After one club event, Jordan happily paid for a bowl of fried rice to split with her, because obviously, if she owed him, he'd have the perfect excuse to see her again. Afterwards, he made many attempts to hangout with JoAnn, casually reminding her of the fried rice debt.

Unfortunately, the plan backfired. JoAnn refused every single time, confused over his desperation to get four dollars back, and mildly concerned about his financial stability.

But then, a few months later, Jordan and JoAnn found themselves sitting under the stars with two friends while camping at crater lake. That night by the campfire, between laughter and stories, they shared pieces of themselves and began to realize how much they had in common. A spark was lit, and it only grew brighter from there.

In the 7 years since then, they've earned college degrees, became homeowners, and rubbed their dogs' bellies about a million times each.

They're so excited to celebrate their special day with friends and family as they begin their lifetime of love.
